EU scientists provide technical and scientific support for the development of tools used in the detection of illicit procurement activities.
Nuclear safeguards are measures designed to ensure states do not use nuclear materials to develop weapons and that they comply with international non-proliferation treaties. JRC creates efficient and effective systems for safeguards and proliferation resistance of nuclear fuel cycle systems and for the security of nuclear/radioactive materials.
