Are we making the most of the massive amounts of data our satellites provide on our atmosphere, marine environment and land? How do we turn what we see into decisive policies?
JRC has created an innovative, safe spray containing a solution of homemade explosives to train sniffer dogs and test if the electronic detection equipment is working properly.
Flow chemistry is used in the lab to produce solutions with very small quantities of explosives, a process that is safer and less polluting than traditional approaches. Our tests are used by airport inspectors and law enforcement officers in Europe to make sure sniffer dogs and electronic detection equipment provide the highest level of security.
