The Battery Energy Storage Laboratory

The laboratory features state-of-the-art equipped facilities for analysing the performance, durability and safety of battery materials and cells.

The safety of batteries is of paramount importance for their use in a wide range of applications. Our laboratory in Petten, Netherlands studies the processes leading to battery failures. This research feeds into EU and global standards and regulations.
