Where is Earth's water?
Earth's surface water is intensely dynamic. Water bodies change in size all the time, but these changes are not reflected on maps.
JRC scientists have created the Global Surface Water Explorer combining 3 million satellite images and harnessing the power of 10.000 Google Earth computers. They have been using it to study surface water dynamics around the world for the past decades.
